60 miles through Chile’s Cochamó Valley, documenting big wall climbing in one of the most remote and beautiful places I’ve ever been.
In January 2025, I joined an expedition to Cochamó, Chile with Arc’teryx athlete Em Perlin and accomplished climber, mentor, and mom Julia Niles—an AMGA-certified guide. We packed in by horse and foot to shoot two of Cochamó’s most iconic walls—Anfiteatro and Trinidad—surrounded by dense jungle, towering granite, and days of mist and filtered light. Shooting in a place like this called for my favorite combination: wall shenanigans, creative problem-solving, and a high tolerance for freeze dried meals. Enjoy this selection of some of my favorite images from the trip.
